Non-Geographic Numbers are not identified with any particular area in the UK. Non-Geographic Numbers cover the 08 number range along with 07 Personal Numbers and 09 Premium Rate Numbers.

The new 03 range are also non-geographic as the number is not connected to any area of the UK even though the tariffs are the same as calls to geographic numbers (01/02).

Non-Geographic Numbers point, or translate, to existing phone numbers without affecting any aspect of the existing number.

Call Handling and Management services such as call routing and voicemail, are unaffected and will continue to function as usual when called from the NGN.
